Engineered for clarity, speed, and sonic precision, the Børresen C2 represents the pinnacle of innovation in high-end loudspeaker design. With technologies adapted from the top-tier M-series and materials designed for resonance control, the C2 offers an exceptionally dynamic and natural listening experience.

Advanced Driver Design

At the heart of the Børresen C2 is the 5-inch DCC5 Neo bass/midrange driver. Constructed using a three-layer membrane (aramid honeycomb core between two carbon fiber skins), it delivers outstanding stiffness and minimal resonance. The result is exceptional midrange clarity and impactful low-end performance.

Ribbon Planar Tweeter

The RP94 ribbon planar tweeter in the C2 features a moving mass of just 0.01 grams and boasts 94 dB sensitivity. This tweeter reproduces high frequencies with incredible detail and speed, capturing the most delicate micro-dynamics with ease and without distortion.

Serial Crossover Architecture

The Børresen C2 employs a serial crossover network for superior phase coherence between drivers. Though more complex to implement, this topology results in a seamless and lifelike presentation, ensuring a consistent and accurate soundstage across all frequencies.

Cabinet and Resonance Control

Constructed from thick, milled hardwood laminates with carbon fiber side panels, the cabinet is designed for maximum acoustic stability. Ansuz resonance control technology is built into the speaker base, reducing external vibration and enhancing sonic focus and resolution.

Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping Capability

The C2 supports bi-wiring and bi-amping, allowing independent amplification of the bass and treble/midrange sections. This configuration enhances dynamic range, imaging, and overall clarity when paired with high-quality amplification, such as from Aavik electronics.

Ansuz Tesla Coil Technology

Built-in Ansuz Tesla coil technology cancels out voltage noise by using double-inverted coils. This significantly lowers the noise floor, creating a blacker background that lets the music emerge with greater contrast and detail. Multiple P-TC coils are implemented for maximum effect.

Analog Dither Enhancement

Now in its third generation, the analog dither system introduces anti-phase pulsating signals to further eliminate noise and open the soundstage. Adapted from radar signal processing, this technology increases resolution and detail retrieval, particularly in complex recordings.

Internal Wiring and Construction

Internally, the Børresen C2 uses high-conductivity Ansuz cabling to maintain signal integrity. The internal chambering includes 5mm-thick milled wood supports to reduce standing waves and resonance. Semi-open driver chambers improve decompression and contribute to a larger, more natural soundstage.
