The KEF R2 Meta features a three-way closed-box design with a Uni-Q driver array, which includes a 25 mm vented aluminum dome high-frequency driver and a 125 mm aluminum midrange driver. The speaker system also includes two 130 mm hybrid aluminum cone low-frequency drivers for a rich and powerful bass response. The crossover frequency is set at 560 Hz and 2.5 kHz to ensure seamless integration between the drivers, and the frequency range is 58 Hz to 50 kHz (-6dB) and 67 Hz to 28 kHz (±3dB). The speaker has a nominal impedance of 4 Ω (min. 3.2 Ω) and a sensitivity of 87dB (2.83V/1m), making it easy to drive with amplifiers ranging from 15W to 200W. Additionally, the R2 Meta has a maximum output of 110dB and a harmonic distortion of less than 1% at 84 Hz and above, and less than 0.5% between 95 Hz and 20 kHz. The speaker system is housed in a compact and elegant enclosure with dimensions of 175 x 550 x 309 mm and weighs 15.4kg.
