The Børresen C3 speakers represent a breakthrough in high-end audio design—melding innovation, acoustic precision, and craftsmanship. Developed by Michael Børresen and Flemming Erik Rasmussen, these speakers offer unmatched sonic transparency and dynamic range, drawing from Børresen’s advanced 0-, T-, and M-series technologies.
Advanced Driver Technology
At the core is Børresen’s DCC5 Neo 5" bass/midrange driver. Its unique triple-layer membrane—carbon fiber skins around an aramid honeycomb—delivers low distortion and lightning-fast transients for crystal-clear midrange reproduction.
Ribbon Tweeter Performance
The RP94 Ribbon Planar Tweeter operates from 2.5kHz and above with remarkable speed and accuracy. Featuring a moving mass of just 0.01 grams and 94 dB sensitivity, it ensures airy highs and lifelike detail without harshness.
Crossover and Signal Integrity
Using a serial crossover network, the C3 maintains phase coherence across frequencies, allowing instruments and vocals to sound remarkably real and spatially precise. This approach enhances realism and musical flow.
Bi-Wiring and Aavik Integration
The C3 supports bi-wiring and bi-amping, ensuring each frequency band receives optimal amplification. With Aavik amplifiers and active crossovers, the speaker can be finely tuned for room acoustics and playback preferences.
Resonance-Controlled Cabinet Design
The cabinet incorporates CNC-milled hardwood laminates and 1mm carbon fiber side panels for rigidity. Internally, block-milled bracing minimizes standing waves, while Ansuz Darkz technology decouples the speaker for clearer sound and refined aesthetics.
Ansuz Tesla Coils and Analog Dither
Built-in Tesla coils cancel voltage noise spikes, enhancing background silence. The 3rd generation analog dither tech further expands the soundstage by reducing noise at specific frequencies, adding depth and fine detail to your music.
Internal Wiring Excellence
Børresen C3 speakers are internally wired with Ansuz conductors, maximizing electrical conductivity and preserving sonic purity. Every internal component is tuned to extract the finest detail from your recordings.
