Hey everyone, this blog post is to tell you what we’re up to next week, we’ve got plenty to talk about including two HUGE turntable installs, so let’s get started….
The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 17th September
We start the week off with a fantastic turntable install all the way down in Surrey, this customer is making the step up from the SME Model 20/2 turntable up to the SME Model 30/2. An upgrade we are sure he’ll love, and we’re glad to help with. We will also be installing a new phono stage alongside the SME, which is the Luxman EQ-500.
Once this install is complete, we have another installation in Surrey to head to. We will be in Godalming setting up a Chord BLU MK II CD Transport alongside our customers’ existing Chord DAVE DAC. Both pieces of Chord Electronics will be connected via dual Chord Music Digital BNC Interconnects, so he can get the best out of the BLU MKII upscaling technology.
Tuesday 18th September
Our work in the south of England isn’t complete yet! We will set off from a local hotel Tuesday morning and head down to London, this time to install another high-end turntable. This customer is making the switch from the Michell Gyrodeck to the monumental AVID Acutus Reference SP Turntable.
Wednesday 19th September
We’re back in the north of England on Wednesday as we head over to Leeds to set up a new streaming solution for a customer. We’ll be installing an Innuos Zenith alongside the Luxman DA-06 DAC, they will be connected via the Chord C-Line USB cable.
Thursday 20th September
A free date in out calendar for now! If this fills up at a later date, we’ll update the post and let you know. Alternatively, if you want to take advantage of the services we offer on Thursday 20 th drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll try our best to make it happen.
Friday 21st September

We’re back over in Leeds to finish the week, this time we have a speaker install. This customer has opted to part exchange their Spendor D1 Standmounts against the PMC Twenty5 21 speakers with matching stands.
