HiFi News
Hey everyone, where is this year going? it’s coming up to the end of January already! We’ve got another jam-packed blog post to share, with a host of interesting instore demonstrations to look forward to, as well as the usual HiFi installs and home demonstrations.
The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.
If we’re in your area and want to listen to something, let us know and to see if we can pop round and see you.
Hope you enjoy the read…
Monday 28th January
A free date in out calendar for now! If this fills up at a later date, we’ll update the post and let you know. Alternatively, if you want to take advantage of the services we offer on Monday 28th drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll try our best to make it happen.
Tuesday 29th January
We’ve got a packed day Tuesday, two in store demos plus a visit from one of our reps. The first demo is a DAC demo, with two award winning Chord Electronics DACs in the running, we’ll be pitting the new Qutest DAC against the Chord Hugo TT.
Our afternoon demo is of a Devialet 220 pro alongside the PMC Twenty5 23 Speakers. A great combination if we do say so ourselves.
In-between demos we’ve also got our good friends Henley Audio paying us a visit, we’ll make sure the we have a mug of the finest Yorkshire tea ready! It’s always great to see members of the industry pop in, it allows us to turn our focus to a particular brand serving as a nice refresher course and to possibly learn about any new products on the horizon…
Wednesday 30th January
We have another in store demo booked in Wednesday morning, this time of the Quad Artera Solus integrated on a pair of older KEF Reference Model One Speakers that we had recently taken in part exchange.
In the afternoon we have a local install of a pair of Quad Z3 Speakers.
Thursday 31st January
We have a Luxman demonstration booked in for Thursday. This customer is looking to purchase some new electronics and has expressed an interest in the Luxman L-505uX II amp and similarly priced Luxman D-05u SACD Player. We will have the Luxman set up alongside a selection of speakers including the PMC Twenty5 23 and Martin Logan Electromotion ESL.
Friday 1st February
An instore demonstration is booked in for Friday, of a pair of preowned JE Audio VM60 Valve Mono Power Amplfiers we have. The rest of the system will comprise of Luxman C-700 pre, Innuos Zenith MKII, Chord Hugo TT2 DAC and Klipsch Forte III Speakers.
Saturday 2nd February
To end the week, we are heading down to Sutton Coalfield, a customer approached us asking for a home demonstration of the Musical Fidelity M8 PRE and matching M8700 Mono power amps. Of course, we we’re happy to oblige. Already an owner of the Monitor Audio PL300II Speakers, we can’t wait to see what the Musical Fidelity M8 series can bring to his system.
We also have an in-store demonstration booked in on Saturday, this customer is bringing in his own Krell electronics to listen to and is interested in a pair of new speakers we will have the PMC Twenty5 23 speakers and Neat Iota Xplorers, alongside a few more options ready and waiting.
