Hey everyone, we’re super excited to tell write this week’s blog post. We’ve got a whopping install north of the border to tell you all about!
The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 10th December
We’ll actually be starting our working week on Sunday 9th, we’ve got a big drive ahead of us to Stirling to install a pair of £45,000 PMC Fact Fenestria Speakers. Needless to say, we are stoked to set these speakers up.
We initially visited this customer earlier in the year, so he could listen to a demo pair of Fenestrias in his own system.
The customers new speakers will be used alongside his existing Chord Electronics system which comprises of a Chord DAVE DAC, CPA 5000 Pre amplifier and SPM 1400 mono power amps.
We will also be collecting a pair of PMC Fact 12 speakers in part exchange, before we set off back down to Hull.
Tuesday 11th December
Another install, this time up to Cumbria to install a pair of PMC Twenty5 23 speakers, this customer is upgrading from his Ruark Sabre III standmounts that we taking in part exchange.
Wednesday 12th December
A free date in out calendar for now! If this fills up at a later date, we’ll update the post and let you know. Alternatively, if you want to take advantage of the services we offer on Wednesday 12th drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll try our best to make it happen.
Thursday 13th December
Thursday, we set off to Ashbourne to deliver a pair of the new KEF R11 speakers, this customer us upgrading from a pair of the older KEF R500 speakers that we will be collecting in part exchange.
Friday 14th December
An instore demonstration is booked in for Friday, this customer is wanting a system based around a turntable and has expressed an interest in either Chord Electronics or Luxman amplification. With that in mind we will have the Luxman C-900u Pre and matching M-900u power amplifier set up, alongside the Chord Electronics CPA 5000 and SPM 1400 Mono power amps. Speakers wise we will have the Martin Logan ESL 15a, and for the turntable the SME Model 15 with 309 tonearm and Ortofon Cadenza Black cartridge.
Saturday 15th December
We end the week with another install, we’re heading south of the Humber to Boston. This customer is making the switch from a Roksan Caspain Amplifier and CD Player combo to the Leema Tucana II amplifier and Antilla CD Player.
